Lexus Interface Overview

Available on select 2022 or newer Lexus vehicles, Lexus Interface is a cloud-based multimedia system that delivers real-time information and receives over-the-air (OTA) updates. Advanced features include an available onboard Intelligent Assistant, in-app Digital Key and more. Plus, Guests can connect their compatible mobile device wirelessly through the vehicle’s touchscreen.

 Getting started with Lexus Interface is easy. Guests simply need to enroll from within the vehicle or using the Lexus app. It’s important to follow the registration instructions carefully.  Unlike anything Guests have used before, Lexus Interface offers plenty of new features, functions and benefits. And, because it’s operated exclusively by an intuitive touchscreen display, it’s easy to use. This immersive multimedia experience provides a wide array of on-demand services not previously offered on 2021 and older Lexus models. 

Emergency Assistance

Using natural language conversation, the Assistant can help with in-car functions such as changing audio settings or adjusting the climate control in select Lexus models. The voice-recognition function can be activated by voice, by using the microphone icon on the touchscreen or the talk switch on the steering wheel.

Using the available Intelligent Assistant, Guests can use voice commands to get directions to a destination, and operate and adjust in-car features such as the audio, climate control and other vehicle systems.

Cloud Navigation1

Cloud Navigation is an available dynamic system that provides real-time predictive traffic information, Points of Interest (POIs), turn-by-turn directions and estimated time of arrival based on current road conditions —like closures, detours and more. This feature relies on cloud-based data to provide the best route guidance.

Digital Key1

With their compatible mobile device in their pocket, purse or bag—and key fob at home—Guests can lock and unlock doors, start and stop the engine, and more within Bluetooth® proximity of the vehicle. Additional Digital Keys can also be created and shared with friends and family, when necessary, and then deleted when no longer needed.

Connected Services2

Connected Services is a suite of convenience features that helps Guests stay connected to their Lexus vehicle using an array of subscription-based services available in-vehicle or through the Lexus app. These features include Safety Connect, Service Connect, Remote Connect, Wi-Fi Connect and Destination Assist. Select Lexus vehicles may also be equipped with Clean Assist and Drive Connect.

With an active Apple Music or Amazon Music subscription, Guests can listen to curated playlists and podcasts, or find and stream their favorite song. An active AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot plan is required, and data usage and charges may apply. 

over-the-air (OTA)

Over-the-Air (OTA) allows Lexus Interface to stay up to date with the latest features. Updates are performed in the background and can be done from anywhere with a wireless connection—like the Guest’s home—without visiting the dealership. OTA helps make the most out of Lexus Interface— whether it’s the addition of a brand-new feature or an improvement to an existing one. And because the process is automatic, OTA is seamless and doesn’t interfere with operating Lexus Interface.

Wireless Smartphone compatibility3

Lexus Interface allows Guests with a compatible mobile device to enable wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, eliminating the need to plug in. But that’s not all—up to two mobile devices can be paired simultaneously over Bluetooth®, while a DO NOT DISTURB mode can disable phone call and text message notifications to help eliminate distractions.
