The wait will soon be over with the launch of a brand-new Lexus RX generation in 2023. Since it initially appeared on the market, the RX has pioneered new territory for Lexus, and the brand's "spindle" grille is currently being updated for the RX's fifth generation. The 2023 RX's face is an intriguing extension of the divisive Lexus design that is present throughout the lineup, with an upper portion that is body colored. Whatever your opinion of the new design, the 2019 RX is prepared to expand the range of luxury SUVs it serves thanks to new powertrains like a plug-in hybrid model and a 367-hp RX500h F Sport Performance hybrid vehicle that uses a new all-wheel-drive system Lexus calls Direct4. Join us at Lexus of Memphis as we discover the all-new 2023 Lexus RX in this post. Keep reading to know more!
Starting with the entry-level RX350 model, powered by a 275-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, the 2023 RX will be available with no less than four different power trains. All-wheel drive is an option for that vehicle, which comes standard with a front-wheel drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid RX350h has all-wheel drive, a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), and a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 246 horsepower combined. When you upgrade to the RX500h F Sport Performance, the 2.4-liter turbocharged engine, and electric motor work together to produce 367 horsepower, which is sent to all four wheels via Lexus's Direct4 technology. Though Lexus hasn't officially disclosed details on the RX450h+ plug-in hybrid model, we anticipate it to have the same 302-hp powertrain as the Lexus NX450h+ and Toyota RAV4 Prime SUVs. This plug-in hybrid model will subsequently be added to the lineup.
